“If I should summarize the last seven days it would have to be: "Andrew, you are my new hero!"
I would probably never have heard about YTB if I hadn't taken a trip to Dana Point, CA to check out a wonderful business opportunity recommended by a good friend who had been hired to raise millions for that company. There I met Mike Holmes who introduced me to YTB and also to you. After conversations with both of you two weeks ago I decided to attend the Red Carpet event last Tuesday.
Before any comments about Red Carpet let me just tell you that the private meeting you had in a room at the Drury Inn was the most powerful presentation I have ever experienced. It wasn't just something that I listened to - it was an experience. To watch you tackle one subject after another with an ease that bordered on being a masterpiece was a total joy. It was a case where the message, no matter how impressive, was no more powerful than the messenger. I don't know if you are aware, but I signed up on Mike's laptop as soon as your meeting was over.
After a sleepless night I expected the next day to be anticlimactic.
However, the Red Carpet day was also a very pleasant surprise. The initial 8 o'clock meeting was very informative and it was great to meet all the YTB executives. In different ways they were all impressive in a non-aggressive, believable manner. I believe that YTB has been able to assemble a great management team that actually cares about all of us in the organization and not just about the corporate profits. They obviously understand that happy agents that are well paid will result in an exceptional return on the investment for the shareholders. If this is not a win-win situation I don't know what is.
It is always nice to know what a corporate headquarters is like, so the tour we got was appreciated. As was the opportunity to preview the architectural plans of the very modern and very efficient remodel that will soon be completed. It will be a complex that every member of the organization can be proud of.
The only complaint I could possibly have about the lunch you served us was the long line. But you know what, even that became a plus because I got to know Jaco Vlok from California while waiting for the food. Jaco is already one of my favorite people and after learning that he is in your organization I just know that he will end up being a big hitter.
The presentation that was put on after we ate was absolutely first class. It was very informative. It was an experience that was bound to change lives forever. It was an event that made my mind work faster than at any other time in my life and at my age that's not easy to make happen. How great it was to listen to all these people who were making almost unbelievable money while really enjoying what they were doing. The travel business is a fun business. It was an eye opener to hear from the three agents that had recently received $1 million bonuses. That is some testimonial to the benefits of being a YTB agent. I cannot believe that the love and respect shown for the three founders of the company can be duplicated in any other organization. There was nothing fake about the affection shown. It was also easy to see that you directors were extremely popular and helpful with the agents. You guys are elevating the travel industry to new heights.
I also want to thank you for the time you spent with me in St. Louis yesterday. To see how you created opportunities to make very brief introductions to YTB was impressive. You made sure that people wanted to know more about YTB without, in any way, being pushy. You also gave me an awfully lot of great marketing ideas and your knowledge about company policies and procedure obviously is second to none. What I learned from you yesterday will help me the rest of my life.
You are not only a great host, but you are an extraordinary talented teacher.
I wrote this because I want to e-mail it to every person I will recruit in the future because I want to encourage them to attend at least one Red Carpet day.”
